Annual Meeting 2026
August 13, 6:30, at the museum
All are welcome at the Grafton Historical Society Annual Meeting, held every August. The election of board members and officers will be followed by our featured speaker and refreshments.
This year we welcome Malcolm Summers of the Chester Bookworm (shown at left) as our guest speaker. Mr. Summer will talk about his work in restoring sone of our very old ledgers, which are invaluable sources of information about early life in Grafton.
Grafton Food & Antique Tractor, Truck, and Car Festival
Be sure to mark your calendar each year for our our signature event, the Food & Antique Tractor Festival. The festival, co-hosted with our town’s famous Grafton Inn, now has grown to include antique cars and trucks too! Vermont food vendors, silent auction, children’s games, music - a wonderful day for the entire family!
Thanks for coming -
see you summer 2026!
Grafton Village Holiday Festival
The Grafton History Museum gets in the holiday spirit with the rests of our village for the Grafton Holiday Festival each year. Come to Grafton for traditional holiday activities, shopping, a visit from Santa for the little ones, and the amazing Dogs of Grafton parade – a holiday favorite. Be sure to stop by the Museum and enjoy some goodies while you take in our pop-up holiday display.
Returning in the holiday season 2026
Sugar on Snow Dinner
Banish the winter doldrums at our annual Sugar on Snow supper. Hot maple syrup is drizzled on pristine snow to chill into the most wonderful chewy maple candy, customarily eaten with pickles to offset the sticky goodness of the gooey maple sweets. Each winter we host our “Sugar on Snow” dinner at the community building (the “chapel”) of the Grafton Community Church, on Main Street in the village, in keeping with long Vermont small town traditions.
Enjoy a dinner of ham, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, and coleslaw, followed by this wonderfully sweet and classic Vermont winter treat. Check back late next fall for the 2027 date!
